Soulja boy's $55 million dollar Jet a hoax story
Turns out Soulja Boy did not actually shell out $55 million for a tricked-out G5 jet, as reports from TMZ and other media sources previously claimed.Soulja Boy’s representative, Greg Miller, has spent the past few days negating the rumor that the Crank Dat rapper indulged in gross overspending.
"The elaborate rumors circulating about Soulja Boy purchasing a jet for his 21st birthday are grossly over exaggerated and are not true,” said Miller in a statement to TMZ.He will, instead, have to fork over at least $26,000 to the state of California in back taxes.
The IRS debt is not Soulja Boy’s only financial woe. Even though he made approximately $7 million in 2010, he owed a $3,571 lien to the state of Mississippi, which he just paid off last week. Also, his Atlanta home was foreclosed on last year.
Apparently Soulja Boy’s debts have not stalled his financial immaturity and lately, he has been making rounds more for his boyish antics than his hit making abilities. It was reported that he spent $300,000 wining and dining friends and fans at Club Play in Miami to celebrate his 21st birthday. His money-wasting antics put him in the company of Lil’ Wayne, Method Man, Doug E. Fresh and the biggest spender of all, MC Hammer.
Let’s hope he finds a financial advisor soon.
