The Headies which took place at the prestigious Eko Hotel & Suites on the 22nd of October 2011 was hosted by Rita Dominic and Eldee the Don.
There were lots of hot performances: Olamide, Waje, Omawumi, Ice Prince, Sound Sultan, Tiwa Savage, MI, Wizkid and Dr. Sid (which turned out to be a flop). Sir Shina Peters also thrilled the crowd with a nostalgic performance after being inducted with the Hall of Fame Headie.
Tuface Idibia went away with the most awards, 3 headies; while MI, Iceprince, Dr Sid & Dare Art Alade went away with 2 headies each. Wizkid was the star of the moment, as he went away with the most coveted prize of Next Rated star award as well as a Hyundai Sonata.
