Dr. Sid's stage tantrum at the 2011 Headies

After being nominated for several awards at the Headies 2011, it seemed like the night was going to be one fantastic night for Dr. Sid, as he won 2 Headies for Best Pop single (where he thanked the crowd and confessed that it was his first award ever) and Hip Hop world Revelation of the Year.


The highlight of his evening was supposed to be his performance, except that things didn't exactly go as planned. The start of his perfomance was delayed, and as Dr. Sid and his dancers waited in the shadows for the stage to be ready for his performance, the crowd got bored and started clapping and cheering, urging the performance to start. When the performance finally started, the vibe in the crowd was less than ecstatic and the stage sound got bad, this didn't go down well with Dr. Sid, as he stopped midway while performing, walked over to the DJ, and afterwards announced that the performance was cancelled and walked off stage. He was clearly upset while walking off the stage cos he forgot to take off his mic as he yelled 'f**k u' much to the dismay and amusement of the crowd.

I can't say I blame the guy though. Nobody wants to see all their hardwork and efforts being reduced to nothing as a result of improper planning. But all the same, congratulations to Dr. Sid on his 2 Headies.
